News:

Introduction

Fitzwilliam Golf Society is the golf society for alumni/ae and members of Fitzwilliam College Cambridge.

Our 2019 schedule includes ten events  from March to October. The Captain's Tour in June is to North Devon taking in the two renowned courses at Saunton with their lovely seaside setting and Royal North Devon at Westward Ho! which recalls golf from a different era with its period clubhouse and rustic fairways on which sheep and horses roam! This year's Fitz Open in early September is at Cambridge Meridian followed by the biennial Sports Alumni Dinner in College.

A new event this year is the Members and Guests Day at Burnham Beeches,   Our End of Season Captain's day to Huntercombe in Oxfordshire. Both are popular and scenic courses.

We have our usual matches against St Edmund Hall (at Gerrards Cross in July) and against Christs (at Camberley Heath in August).  Our fixtures against Johns, Jesus, CU Land Society and St Peter's College, Oxford have been combined into a single Team Invitation Day at Mid Herts in mid May.

Fitz teams will be entered into the Harpenden Mencap Charity Day at Harpenden Common in late June.

The full list of events can be found on the 2019 Schedule page.

Membership is open to all Fitzwilliam graduates and members of College. There is no subscription. We have golfers with handicaps ranging from scratch to 28. Anyone interested in playing would be most welcome and should contact the secretary, Colin Dunkerley. See Contact page.
