The final match of the 2017 season was a tripartite match with St Johns and St Peters played at Old Fold Manor near Barnet, North London. The main match in the afternoon was played on a pairs basis with five Fitz pairs battling it out against four from the other colleges.

Conditions were very Autumnal with heavy ground and a torrential downpour as the first groups set out. However, the Fitz pairs battled to score very well and consistently. Fitz scored an average of 36.6 points, narrowly pipping Johns who had 36.25. St Peter's had 34.75.

The best Fitz pairs, both with 38 points, were  Pete Bennett / Dave Castell and Jon Prichard / Bob Barltrop.

The best pair overall was Donald Mark and Guy McDonnell of Johns with an excellent 43 points. The Longest Drive on the 18th was claimed by Donald Mark.

In the morning, the warm up Texas Scramble was won by the mixed group of Duncan Moore (J), Anthony Williams (SPC) and our own Brian Smith.
