Threeway Match at Harpenden GC -  5 June 2018

Harpenden Golf Club was the venue for the Summer Threeway match on 5 June, when Fitzwilliam took on a combined team from Cambridge University Land Society and Jesus College.

15 players took part in the morning Texas Scramble - a warm up competition over 10 holes.   The afternoon match was played in pairs, and each side scored 2½ points so the result was a very diplomatic draw. See below for results. Note David Williams played for CULS!

The course at Harpenden, also known as Hammonds End, was very lush and looked and played very well. With some testing undulations, it was an excellent Society course. Following the recent clubhouse refurbishment, the facilities were excellent – notably a fine terrace where the players enjoyed post match tea in the evening sunshine.
