The Fitzwilliam Open - The History

Each year, the society holds a singles competition in Cambridge in early September. Biennially, this coincides with the Fitzwilliam Alumni Sports Dinner. The winner becomes Fitzwilliam Champion Golfer and receives the Croft-Baker Trophy, donated by our inaugural Captain, now President, Henry Croft-Baker.

The Open has been held ten times. See the list of winners and venues.

All Fitzwilliam golfers are encouraged to take part. There is no limit on entry numbers but a maximum handicap may be applied at the Committee's discretion.
